IT ALL STARTED WITH A SMACK!

Pants Ahoy!
Yes, It's all a load PANTS that started with a Smack
It all started when I was asked by a punk band (The Vibrators) to print some black pants for them—but instead, I accidentally bought a large batch of girls white pants. Unable to return them, and having just been invited to have a stall a charitable Christmas Show, I decided to print the word “Smack” across the back. These proved to be so popular that I sold them all to the women in our small island community.
And that is how it started.
A friend who saw the funny side and is a bit of a wordsmith was playing around with the obvious words and he had a Blue Peter moment, came up with Nautickle & Naughtickle
I went to our local sailing and club & told my mates that I was starting this business selling pants, and everyone chipped in with all the innuendos, well after several beers things were getting quite hilarious, and one mate came up with HMS Innuendo, well that was it!
Let's see how it goes!
They are quality pants and fun to wear.
For those not into sailing, a smack is a classic working boat, and you’ll find plenty of them along the East Coast. With a history spanning over 200 years, with the oldest working fishing boat in the world—still licensed to fish—can be found on Mersea. They’re truly beautiful boats. As it turned out, I sold every single pair of those printed pants in just one day. And that’s how it all began.
